From Tech Nightmares to Easy Email Marketing: How Flodesk Transformed My Workflow
If you have ever spent hours fixing fonts and design blocks, fighting with automations, or wondering why something so simple is so hard, you already know how frustrating I was all day. I really cared about the vibe of my brand and how I wanted subscribers to feel, but every platform I tried was a pain that turned a simple newsletter into a big project. Every automation was a puzzle.
Every design took longer than it should have. Until someone told me I should try Flodesk. I will tell you, I was not sure at first. I had tried so many so called easy email tools that never were. But the second I saw Flodesk, I knew it was not just one of those tools.
It was clean. Calm. Easy. And after a few minutes, I was making emails that looked so good I could not believe it. For the first time, my emails looked just like my brand: cool and modern and simple.
Before I keep going, let me tell you that I am a Flodesk Partner, which means if you sign up from my link or code, I can get a cut of it.. Still, everything I just said is true even if I was not a partner because Flodesk has made doing email stuff fun, fast, and just how I want it to be. Before Flodesk, making one newsletter was a full afternoon of fixing fonts and making sure it looked good on phones and moving blocks around over and over until things lined up. Before Flodesk, I spent so much time making everything look OK and nothing really felt right. Now I spend significantly less time creating newsletters with Flodesk.
I used to feel like there was no way and everything was all over the place. Now it is simple and easy, and that has made me like email stuff way more. It was a total change. This was not just because of the software I use now, but how I feel about email stuff now. Over the last year, Flodesk has had even more good stuff.
WHAT'S NEW?
It is more than just pretty emails; it is now a full, strong tool for creatives, coaches, small businesses, and online entrepreneurs. A big new thing is that it has new tools for connecting to other apps. Before, if you wanted to connect Flodesk to other apps, you had to do hard work or use third-party apps. Now, it is built-in and easy. I can connect Flodesk to ManyChat, allowing people to add themselves to my list directly from comments and DMs.
Flodesk directly integrates with tools that entrepreneurs and creatives frequently use. These include platforms like Bookfunnel (for easily delivering digital products), Shopify (ideal for eCommerce stores), Canva (to effortlessly insert your branded designs), and HoneyBook (to streamline client communications). It's simple to automate and expand your email marketing without switching between platforms thanks to additional integrations like Marvelous (for event planning), Interact (for quizzes), and Involve.me (for engagement campaigns). ThriveCart will be coming soon, so people who buy will get into the right groups and flows without me doing anything.
Now it all feels linked up in a way that helps how modern online entrepreneurs and creators really work.
Flodesk has also added a lot of new automations. The workflow builder used to be known for being simple, but now it is more powerful without losing its ease of use. I can build welcome sequences, sales funnels, post-purchase journeys, evergreen nurture series, lead magnet deliveries, and behavior-based automations—all visually and without any steep learning curve. It’s sophisticated, but also refreshingly intuitive, which is rare to find in email marketing tools.
Yet another big change is Flodesk Checkout. It began as a simple bonus feature and has grown into a full-fledged sales tool. I can now use sales pages, upsells, order bumps, payment plans, and beautiful design options that go with the style of my emails. Having sales and email in one place is very helpful if you sell digital products like courses, templates, coaching, presets, workshops, or memberships. With the Everything plan, you can have as many checkouts as you want. This makes it a complete system for creators who want to sell their work without having to use five different platforms.
Even with all of these improvements, the email builder is still the feature that saves me the most time and stress. The visual editor in Flodesk is clean and flexible. I can drop in branded layouts, embed Canva graphics, add images, and move things around without breaking anything. In minutes, I can make emails that look great and are on brand. I still remember the time I put together a newsletter with a call to action, promo graphic, introduction, and product highlight in less than 10 minutes. I laughed out loud because I couldn't believe how simple it was. This feature alone makes Flodesk worth it for someone who favors design but is unwilling to spend hours perfecting every little detail.
THE PRICING
The pricing for Flodesk has also been updated recently. In my opinion, it's still one of the easiest and friendliest options for creators. Pricing is simple, transparent, and packed with value. Every plan comes with unlimited email sends and access to the most advanced features—so you’re never penalized for engaging with your audience. Lite costs $19 a month, Pro costs $25 a month, and Everything costs $49 a month. Each plan starts at 0 subscribers and goes up to 1,000 subscribers. All plans come with an unlimited number of emails and forms which convert visitors to subscribers two times more than industry average with design best practices baked right in. The Lite plan comes with one workflow, which is great for people who are just starting out and want to keep things simple. The Pro plan lets you use as many workflows as you want and has just one checkout, making it perfect for creators who are setting up automated sales funnels or selling a single item. The Everything plan also lets you have as many workflows and checkouts as you want, so you can grow your business without worrying about price increases.
As a partner, I also want to give you an honest look at the changes to the program. New users used to get a 50% discount for the first year. It's now 25% off your first year instead of that discount. Partners still get 50% of the sales, though, for a whole year. Since prices go up as the list size goes up, the potential to make a lot of money has actually grown a lot. For instance, commissions went up from $9/month to $18/month for groups with 1,000 subscribers. When there were 25,000 subscribers, commissions went from $58 a month to $89 a month. It quickly adds up over the course of a year, and it makes the partner model healthier and more long-lasting in general.
If you’re a coach, creator, designer, photographer, small business owner, or anyone who wants a simple email platform that delivers professional results, Flodesk is genuinely one of the most aligned tools you can choose. It’s ideal for visuals-first brands, for people who want a clean interface, and for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by the complexity of traditional email platforms. And if you're searching for a straightforward, beautifully designed system for email marketing for creatives, or looking for a simple email platform that doesn’t require a steep learning curve, this is it.
